Taste Rules when you are brewing coffee, so adjust for your taste.
1. Use a clean coffee maker
2. Use cold water, it has more oxygen than warm water. Flat water makes flat coffee.
3. Use standard coffee measure- 2 tablespoons to 6 ounces of water. One heaping teaspoon of beans makes one rounded teaspoon of grind.
4. If brewing manually, bring cold water to rolling boil and pour over coffee grounds immediately. (this is called plunger pot method when you use a steel mesh over the grounds after steaping for 2-4 minutes. This is the preferred method that gourmet coffee drinkers use. Otherwise follow your coffee pot instructions, but keep in mind that if you use a paper filter it will filter some of the flavor and leave a different taste in the coffee.
